We offer culturally rich, inclusive dance education grounded in Aboriginal storytelling, movement and leadership. Our pathways support dancers from their very first steps through to accreditation, leadership and professional opportunities — nurturing confidence, cultural pride and creative excellence.

Founding and cultural authority
Founded in 2019 by Renae Lamb — a Wiradjuri and Wongaibon woman, artist and dance educator — Midnight Dreaming Dance Co was created to provide culturally safe dance, leadership and education programs for children, youth and adults.
Through COVID-19 the studio moved to online delivery, returned in person, and expanded into visual art and fashion design — all of it grounded in Aboriginal sovereignty and self-determination.
All programs, choreography, leadership frameworks, curricula, artworks and teaching resources are originally developed by Midnight Dreaming Dance Co and operate under Wiradjuri and Wongaibon cultural authority.
Qualifications behind the syllabus
- Certificate III in Children’s Services / Early Childhood Education
- Diploma of Training & Assessment (TAE)
- Bachelor of Arts — Global Indigenous Studies & Education
- Recognised dance training, examinations and syllabus-based assessment
Class timetable
Classes run in school terms, ten lessons a term. Every class takes new dancers — book a free trial through the enrolment form.

Fees and costs
Everything a family will be asked to pay in a year, on one screen, before you enrol.
Annual registration fee
Covers insurance, administration and studio membership for the whole year.
$250per dancer, per yearClass fees
Ten lessons a term — $350 per term, $1,400 for the four terms of the year.

Crop, shorts and jumper. Replace individual items only as your dancer grows.

Only for dancers in a performance. One costume covers one dance.

Most community and cultural performances carry no cost. Ticketed concerts and travel are quoted to families in writing before anyone commits.

Pay the full year up front and it is $2,000 for the year including one costume — $100 off.

- Registration is paid once when you enrol, and again at the start of each new year.
- Class fees are invoiced by term, due in the first week of term.
- Uniform and costume payments are invoiced separately when the order is placed.
- Bank transfer, card and in-person payment through Square. Payment plans are available — ask when you enrol, nobody misses out over money.
Costumes
$150 per costume, per dance
Costumes are made for the dance, not bought off a rack. Each one is designed by Midnight Dreaming and carries the story the dancers are telling.
What is required
- A dancer only needs a costume for the dances they perform in — class alone needs the uniform, not a costume.
- One costume covers one dance. A dancer performing two dances needs two costumes.
- Costumes stay with the dancer and are theirs to keep.
Ordering and sizing
- Costume orders open once the performance dances are set for the term, and families are told the closing date in writing at the start of that term.
- Sizing is measured in class by a teacher, so nobody has to guess from a chart.
- Late orders cannot always be filled in time for a performance — the making is local and made to order.
Performance costumes
- Cultural performances may also require ochre, hair and accessories, all provided by the studio.
- Costumes must be worn complete and unaltered at performances — it is a cultural garment, not a dress-up.
- Costume payment is due before the costume goes into production.

Full uniform kit — crop, shorts and jumper — $300
Every dancer wears the studio uniform to class. It is designed by Renae, made on demand and Aboriginal-owned, top to bottom.
